Popayan is considered as world heritage, because is here  the  holy week celebration is the most beautiful around the world, where the people make a tour crossing the historical center with representations of saint on their backs.

I really admire the "cargueros" because these sculptures are very heavy. I also participated in this celebration, a woman with a special clothing and incense in her hands, leading each of the sculptures; this woman is called "sahumadoras".

This experience is really nice, is an obligation as woman between 17 and 22 years to help in this tradition, this participation is very difficult, because they are aprox. 3 km that you have to walk around the city.
